Around the world, 720 million people are chronically hungry¹ — 1 out of every 11 people — and 10% of the world lives in extreme poverty, existing on less than $3.00 a day.² 13,000 children die every 24 hours, most of them from causes that are entirely preventable — 4.8 million children every year³. If you slept 8 hours last night, 4,400 children died while you slept and most of those deaths were preventable.
